Weekly Photo Challenge: Geometry

black & white, monochrome, Ocean Beach, Ocean Beach Fishing Pier, San Diego, Symmetry, Vanishing Point

For this week’s entry I’m going with the Ocean Beach Fishing Pier. I just squatted down for this image and made sure that I was right down the middle to get all my lines parellel 🙂

  1. I love the low POV for this shot and the B&W treatment works really well. Excellent.

  2. Great composition, love the lead in lines and the shadows on the left. The people give it scale without being a distraction from the geometry of the lines. Black and white works well and was a good choice. My only negative observation is that there appear to be two marks on the right hand side just above the vertical black line.

    Great shot.

    • Thanks for the critique Adrian… you’re right on… I work on the images on my 13″ macbook and this is coming to an end shortly… I will buy a 27″ iMac so I can spot all these imperfections!! I’ve tried zooming in but I always seem to miss a spot.

  4. That’s really funny, because I switched from the larger MacBook to the smaller version. I guess I just can’t get hung up on the minutia….
