Field Level
Field Level access at the Rogers Center to a Blue Jays game. This was Blue Jays vs the Oakland Athletics which they went on to lose the game; I’m not a baseball expert but apparently the Jays are making some major moves in the off-season.
Weekly Photo Challenge: Renewal
My entry for this week’s photo challenge is the entrance of the Mechanical Engineering building at the University of toronto. I just wonder how many generations have walked through these doors with renewed hopes of a brighter future ahead. It seems like it was yesterday that we walked out of these same doors into the real world… there has been 12 classes since us!

Eyes on the mound
This in an image from my recent trip to Toronto, we went to a Blue Jays game against the Oakland Athletics. At one point while everyone was looking at the mound waiting for the pitcher to throw the ball I was thinking what a great photo opportunity this is 🙂

Galbraith Structure
This is the structure that sits outside of Galbraith Building at the University of Toronto. Galbraith is the where the office of registar is for the faculty of Applied Science & Engineering, its also home to the Civil Engineering & Engineering Science division. We all had different classes at the various Engineering buildings, but most of the specialized labs where in the buildings of their respective division.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Big
This week’s photo challenge is about something that is Big; larger than life. Here is the biggest terminal (Terminal 1) in the biggest airport in Canada (Toronto’s Pearson International). This is just a portion of the US side of the terminal, there is an international side of the terminal and the reason for this is because you clear US customs in most Canadian Airports. Technically this picture was taken in an area that is under US law which makes arriving at your destination a much more convenient process; since you’ve already gone through the hassle of clearing customs you just pick up your luggage and go.

The Tracks
A picture of the train tracks that lead to Union Station, Toronto’s main train station located in the heart of downtown. This is where the western trains meet at; you get to really appreciate the volume of people that move in and out of the city during rush hour (I used to take these tracks when I was going to university). However, I took this image on the day that we went to the Blue Jays game back in July.

Victorian Architecture

Victorian Architecture is very prevalent in downtown Toronto and thats probably due to the fact that Canada was a British Colony until it obtained its independence from Great Britian (not sure exactly when but I think its sometime in the last 20-30 years). This particular image is on the Northern edge of the University of Toronto Campus (Bloor St.), typically this is a very crowded area during the day and this was right after lunch time. I stood there for a while until I could get a “clear” view, sometimes photography is about practicing your patience 🙂
