Another picture from The Lost Abbey in Escondido which is a decent sized micro brewery. Apparently San Diego is famous for its micro brewery scene and lately I’ve been touring a lot of them, definitely much better than the big macro breweries! Hope you’re enjoying the weekend.
A section of an underground tunnel in Abu Dhabi’s corniche.
The RBC Financial Group Building in Downtown Toronto located at Yonge & Bloor.
An image of Casa de Manana’s retirement community with downtown La Jolla in the backdrop. It originally opened as Hotel Casa de Manana in 1923 and its original owner sold it in 1956, shortly after it was turned into a retirement community. The detailed story is available on their website, its a short read.
For this week’s entry I’m going with the Ocean Beach Fishing Pier. I just squatted down for this image and made sure that I was right down the middle to get all my lines parellel 🙂
This in an image from my recent trip to Toronto, we went to a Blue Jays game against the Oakland Athletics. At one point while everyone was looking at the mound waiting for the pitcher to throw the ball I was thinking what a great photo opportunity this is 🙂
Yet another week comes to an end and what better way to end it than another sunset from La Jolla shores 🙂 Hope you are enjoying the weekend.
Last Friday myself and my colleagues decided to give Mama Jamaica a try during our lunch break, it had some decent reviews on yelp and we wanted to try something new. Having moved from Toronto, which has a huge Caribbean community, I really missed having some good old jerk chicken 🙂 When I was placing my order I mentioned to the lady how much I missed Jamaican food and she asked me where I was from and it turns out that she had moved to San Diego from Toronto over 20 years ago. And if that wasn’t enough of a coincidence she lived across the street from where I worked for the last 10 years there. Anyway in case you haven’t guessed it, the lady behind the counter was Mama Jamaica herself, while Read the rest of this page »
Its Friday so in honor of the weekend here is a diptych of beer kegs at the Stone Brewing Company in Escondido. Enjoy the weekend 🙂
This is my entry for this week’s photo challenge, a collage of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. The place has changed so much over the years that I hardly recognize it, where there used to be water they have built man made land!
A Picture of Hoangie’s food truck that serves Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) on the go, they are actually quite highly rated so maybe I should’ve given them a try. I took this picture outside of The Lost Abbey while touring San Diego’s North county microbreweries.
A parked Ferrari at the Stone Brewing Company, this is the the F430 Spyder. The F430 was produced from 2004 to 2009, its the predecessor was the 360 and it was later on replaced by the 458 Italia.
The lifeguard tower over children’s pool at La Jolla Cove around sunset. Considering how this the highest point overlooking the ocean and its on top of a rocky area, this is probably the central tower for La Jolla as the ocean is not very accesible from that point specially in case of an emergency!
A part of the UCSD campus around the La Jolla Scripps Pier, this is most probably used by the research staff & graduate students of the university.
