Micro Brewery

HDR, Beer, Escondido, Fermentation Tank, Forklift, Micro Brewery, North County San Diego, San Diego, The Lost Abbey

Another picture from The Lost Abbey in Escondido which is a decent sized micro brewery. Apparently San Diego is famous for its micro brewery scene and lately I’ve been touring a lot of them, definitely much better than the big macro breweries! Hope you’re enjoying the weekend.

A Picture of Hoangie’s food truck that serves Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) on the go, they are actually quite highly rated so maybe I should’ve given them a try. I took this picture outside of The Lost Abbey while touring San Diego’s North county microbreweries.

Fermentation Tank

This is the fermentation tank right outside the Lost Abbey, which is a micro brewery in North County San Diego. I could’ve sworn that my friend said that its actually in use but I think he was pulling a prank on me, I don’t see anything connecting to it to the main structure but then again what do I know about making beers!

Back to the grind

Absract, Beer, Micro Brewery, San Diego, Sign, Stone Brewery, Stone Brewing Company, Working Hours

The sign of the operating hours at the Stone Brewing company. Luckily the majority of us don’t have to work 11 hour days, but its Monday and for most its time to get back to the grind. Enjoy the working week 🙂

Beer Bottles

Absract, Beer, Beer Bottles, Lost Abbey, Micro Brewery, San Diego, San Marcos

Spent yesterday touring the micro breweries in San Diego’s North County with a friend of mine; all in all we stopped at four different breweries and we took a tour at the last one. This particular image is of the layout of the “store” at the Lost Abbey which was our second stop. At the end I found it to be quite an informative day for me about the beer making process and what makes the flavours in them. Enjoy the last day of the weekend 🙂

Hang Over

Its July 5th, the day after July 4th weekend and I’m sure quite a few people today are feeling the hang over from the festivities! I heard on the news that July 4th weekend is the largest beer consumption/sales weekends in the US, I always thought it would be something like Thanksgiving or Christmas but I guess with the holiday weekend being smack dab in the middle of summer, it makes sense!

I found this beer bottle hidden behind an oceanography research center at UCSD, from the way it was placed, it appears that its being hidden from the “public”. I guess scientist need to wind down with a brew once in a while also, just hope they didn’t make any major breakthroughs while under the influence 🙂
