An image of the two lower level viewing decks in Griffith Observatory, there are another 2 levels that are above these two. The Hollywood hills are in the background with the famous Hollywood sign in the middle.
Hollywood
With everything going on in the world, sadly most of the attention today will probably be on the events that will happen later on in Los Angeles. Its Hollywood’s big night, the Oscars and I thought it would be fitting that I publish the picture of the Hollywood sign today. Contrary to what many tourists might think, there isn’t really an optimal spot to see the Hollywood sign from; the best spot that I know of is actually from a residential street and its only good for a certain distance, if you get too close then you won’t be able to see it. I don’t know if there is an LA native that can correct me but I don’t think there is a “viewing spot” for the sign. I took this from Griffith Observatory so there is slight angle to the typical POV that all of us are used to seeing.
